Program deadline to apply (Milestone 1)

Teams and solopreneurs in this program must be ready to spend several hours per week working on their project over the 5 weeks of the program. Mentors who report the highest satisfaction from the program usually dedicate 1-2 hours per week over 5 weeks to the program and engage in a variety of activities (training, , individual team mentoring, or providing feedback to presentations). Kickoff and Workshop 1: Introduction to Lean Canvas Methodology and Customer Discovery (Milestone 2)

On January 3rd, teams/solopreneurs will receive an introductory training on customer discover and the lean canvas mindset. Teams will be asked to find and interview at least three people in their ecosystem by January 9th at 11:59pm. Interview summaries will be submitted with the I-Corps teaching team. Workshop 2: Telling a Compelling Story (Milestone 3)

Talking about your customer, their problem, and your value proposition to potential investors requires different skills from giving academic focused presentations. In this workshop we go over how to tell a compelling story and put what we learn into practice.

Workshop 3: The importance of secondary research (Milestone 3)

While you're learning how to validate the problem and developing your value proposition through customer interviews, you should also be engaging in conducting a thorough secondary research. Secondary research includes understanding the prior art, the market landscape, any regulatory considerations, and other topics. You'll learn how to use library resources to do extensive research on these areas.

Biomedical Entrepreneurship Panel

ITHS will host a panel discussion specifically for the innovator with a translational health product. Innovators will learn about pathways to commercialization considerations specific to this industry.
