Presenter Bio
Matt Oppenheimer co-founded Remitly in 2011 and serves as chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors. Prior to co-founding Remitly, Matt worked for Barclays plc, a multinational bank and financial services company, from August 2009 to May 2011. He has served on the board of directors of BECU since 2018. Matt was named EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 in the Pacific Northwest and has been recognized as a Puget Sound Business Journal “40 Under 40” honoree for his work with Remitly. He holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in psychology from Dartmouth College.
