Visiting CoMotion
As the University of Washington’s collaborative innovation hub, we are proud to share our work with partners from around the world. We regularly host visiting delegations from universities, government agencies, and innovation‑focused organizations who are interested in learning about our approach to technology transfer, startup incubation, and the broader innovation ecosystem at UW.
Our goal is to create meaningful, high‑quality engagements that foster shared learning and open the door to future collaboration. To help us prepare an experience that aligns with your interests, we ask all visiting groups to submit a Delegation Visit Request Form.

An overview of CoMotion’s programs, services, and impact
Discussions with members of our team about tech transfer, startup incubation, or innovation strategy
Optional tours of our startup incubators (life science, hardware, technology, climate tech)
Opportunities to explore areas of mutual interest or potential partnership
Please note that we are unable to accommodate evening or weekend visits.
Fee
To support staff time, coordination, and access to our facilities, delegation visits include a standard program fee of $1,000 per group. This helps us ensure a high‑quality experience for all visitors. If your institution has an existing formal partnership with UW, we will take that relationship into consideration when reviewing your request.
Before you submit
- Delegations are typically limited to 15 attendees (larger groups will be unable to tour the incubator spaces)
- Requests should be submitted at least four weeks in advance
- Visits cannot be scheduled during university holidays, weekends, or, typically, during the summer session (June through September)
- Photography and videography are not permitted inside laboratory spaces
- Due to high demand, we may not be able to accommodate all requests, but we review each submission carefully
Once your form is received, a member of the CoMotion team will follow up within one week.
