Intelligent Ion was a startup that developed a desktop mass spectrometer for use in chemical analysis. It was purchased by OI Corp in 2004, which in turn was purchased by ITT Corporation in 2010. OI Corp is now operating as OI Analytical. ITT Corporation broke up into three independent companies, one of which is Xylem Inc. OI Analytical is now a part of Xylem (but still operates under the name OI Analytical).
