Description

Farecast used a combination of techniques to find patterns in the variation of airline ticket prices over time to predict future price movements. The method may also apply to hotel rooms, rental cars and other analogous markets. It was by acquired by Microsoft in April 2008 for $115 million, and went out of service in April 2014.
