4th-PHASE’s research is focused on a new phase of water discovered by Professor Gerald Pollack at the University of Washington. It is a liquid crystalline phase with elemental proportions of H3O2 versus the well-known formula of H2O. It has distinct and stable physical properties such as higher viscosity and index of refraction compared to standard H20. This phase has two intriguing properties: it can eject dissolved species, and it forms by splitting the water (H2O) molecule without the need for inefficient electrolysis or photosynthesis. There are two useful applications for this discovery: water purification and energy generation. The mission of 4th-Phase, Inc. is to develop and commercialize products for these applications.
