Winter 2026

Antigoni | Antigoni is a platform that turns long-term professional and personal growth into small, consistent, and achievable actions. Users articulate career and household goals, and the system breaks them into manageable steps supported by prompts, templates, and behavioral nudges. The system is distinctive in its use of AI-mediated participation for all partners, not just women, fostering equitable communication and shared accountability.

BrainVista | Neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders are on the rise, creating an urgent need for innovative technologies that can improve diagnosis and treatment. We plan to develop a software package for biomarker detection in neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders that can serve as a diagnostic tool and help monitor disease progression and treatment efficacy. Our system will leverage non-invasive, multimodal neural measurements along with novel algorithms to provide clinicians with actionable insights.

CareerPathAI | CareerPath.AI is an AI-driven career planning platform that helps students understand what skills, courses, and experiences they need for specific career goals. It combines academic records, interests, and self-assessments to generate personalized learning and career preparation plans. The system continuously updates recommendations as students progress and refine their goals.

Electrochemical Bandage | Antibiotic-resistant bacteria form biofilm infections that prevent chronic wounds from healing due to their resistance to antibiotic treatment. Applying topical biocides can be effective but concentration and frequency of application must be carefully controlled in order to successfully heal the chronic wound while still be under the cytotoxicity level. Our research group has developed an affordable alternate solution using a bandage that electrochemically generate constant, sufficient amounts of biocide that can kill antibiotic-resistant bacteria in biofilm while maintaining a safe concentration of biocides.

MarketSense DX | We are developing a platform that provides diagnostic startups with consolidated market and implementation intelligence for emerging markets. Instead of relying on scattered reports or informal networks, teams can access clear insights on health-system needs, adoption barriers, regulatory pathways, and procurement dynamics. This helps startups design products that truly fit real-world conditions, reduce risk, and reach product-market fit more efficiently.

Marva Labs | Trojan-Horse EVs for Biofilms. Antimicrobial resistance is rising because biofilms act as fortified microbial communities that block antibiotics and enable resistance to spread. Microbes, however, naturally send nano-scale extracellular vesicles that penetrate these barriers to deliver signals and instructions. Marva Labs re-engineers those vesicles to hijack this communication pathway and smuggle antimicrobial payloads directly into biofilms like a Trojan horse.

Nanovero Filtration Membranes | We have developed a new method to manufacture filtration membranes which does not use the toxic solvents common in membrane production. Our membranes can be made with any thermoplastic with pore sizes around 10nm which makes them suitable for virus and bacteria removal, as well some protein filtration. This process results in membranes with both high performance and low costs, allowing us to address many challenges faced by current pharmaceutical industry filtration users.

Operon Technologies | We help biologists build accurate AI models using our biological compiler. Our secret sauce is a labeling system that generates rich metadata for AI weights, making complex biological processes machine-interpretable. We acquire customers by open-sourcing the compiler to attract researchers and converting them to paid users as they scale.

Osanwe Link | Osanwe Link enables nonverabl and speech-delayed individuals to express their thoughts clearly and naturally by translating their intent into effective communication. It aims to assists individuals with echolalia and to reduce frustration for users of traditional AAC devices by enabling customized AI learning for each user, and eliminates much of the interpretive burden placed on families, educators, and caregivers. Osanwe Link provides meaningful communication insights that support more personalized care, better interventions, and improved long term outcomes.

Saturn | We’re building an AI companion designed specifically for young adults (ages 18-25) that prioritizes their emotional safety and developmental wellbeing. Unlike general-purpose chatbots, our system is trained to recognize and respond appropriately to the unique vulnerabilities and needs of emerging adults. The platform also enables researchers to ethically collect long-term data on how young people interact with AI and help scientists understand the real impacts of these technologies on human development.

SHIELD | Project SHIELD is an early-warning system that helps machines detect when their sensors are starting to fail—before the failure becomes dangerous. It continuously watches the sensor’s raw output and learns what “healthy” behavior looks like, so even small changes like drift, noise, or delay can be caught early. By running on tiny, low-power chips inside everyday devices, SHIELD makes technology safer and more reliable across fields like robotics, aerospace, and healthcare.

Xenogeneic CAR-T cells | The projects aims to have an off the shelf cellular therapy using genetically engineered swine cells. This technology aims to be used for the treatment of cancer or the prevention of rejection in patients receiving organ transplants.

Spring 2026

Aging and kidney metrics | We built a kidney-specific aging innovation that uses targeted metabolomics plus Bayesian/machine-learning modeling to turn complex blood (or other biofluid) metabolite data into interpretable kidney and global aging metrics, including an estimated kidney age and early CKD risk. By creating three validated “metabolic clocks” (Kidney Aging, Kidney Function, and Global Metabolomic Aging), it can detect early-stage kidney decline that conventional systems miss and quantify heterogeneity in organ aging across individuals.

acoustic forceps | Kidney stone disease affects millions of patients in the US, causing severe pain and significant healthcare costs. Current treatments — ureteroscopy and shockwave lithotripsy — rely on invasive or high-energy approaches that break the stone into smaller fragments. These methods leave fragments can cause future recurrence of symptoms. We have developed a noninvasive technique that uses focused ultrasound to steer kidney stones and stone fragments toward the kidney’s natural exit to pass on their own — without incisions, scopes, or recurrence-fueling debris.

AI4IP | We are creating an AI-enabled platform that helps businesses and institutions – such as restaurants, universities, and schools – plan, procure, and prepare food that meets nutrition guidelines while staying within tight budgets. The tool brings together menu planning, purchasing, cost analysis, and compliance in one simple decision-support system. It works like a “co-pilot” for food service teams, making it easier and faster to choose healthier, affordable options at scale without needing technical expertise.

AirOmatix, Inc. | We are developing a novel, patent-pending method from separating high-purity oxygen from air. The technology uses a photochemical solution that captures only oxygen at cool temperatures when exposed to light and releases only oxygen when warmed in the dark. We can achieve higher purity oxygen (99+% vs 90-93%) and about four times more efficiently from the same size device as the existing PSA (pressure-swing adsorption) method.

InfantLift | InfantLift is an assistive infant support device designed for caregivers with motor limitations that rests securely on the caregiver’s lap. Many baby carriers require strong arm control and dexterity to lift and position an infant, which can make them difficult to use for people with limited mobility. InfantLift focuses on functional accessibility by providing supportive features that help caregivers safely hold, feed, and comfort their baby with less physical strain.

IUD to treat chronic pain | Chronic Pelvic Pain is a serious and common problem affecting up to 30% of women worldwide and accounts for 10-12% of hysterectomies annually in the U.S; the costs of CPP are ~$3B annually. Hysterectomy is an effective treatment, however more treatment options are needed for women looking to preserve fertility. We are developing an intrauterine device that can dispense pain medication for this treatment.

NuukBio | We are developing TreDox, a preclinical therapeutic window decision platform designed to address a major problem in drug discovery: current assays are often too late, too static, and too siloed between efficacy and safety to support strong early decisions. Our solution measures real-time stress resilience trajectories in living human cells, revealing the earliest point at which target cells, such as cancer cells, and healthy off-target cells begin to diverge under the same drug exposure regimen, while also generating the human cell-based response data needed to train our AI models to predict drug response from real biological evidence. This gives pharmaceutical teams a much earlier Go, Redesign, or No-Go decision layer, including dose and schedule guidance, that fits seamlessly into existing workflows, helping them reduce costly iterations and focus downstream resources on qualified candidates with a defensible therapeutic window.

PainRoute | We are developing a digital pre‑operative pain‑optimization and opioid‑risk workflow that helps clinics identify high‑risk surgical patients early and complete the documentation needed for anesthesia readiness, reducing preventable day‑of‑surgery cancellations. The platform organizes patient information, flags risk factors, tracks PDMP/MME documentation, and produces anesthesia‑ready summaries to streamline communication between clinics and surgical teams. Over time, this system will expand to include AI‑based risk prediction for anesthesia complications, enabling clinics to proactively manage complex patients and improve outcomes across the perioperative pathway.

PathoGuide Diagnostics | In hospitals, pathologist clinicians often manually score immune cells (tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes- TILs) in patient biopsies to assess treatment options for breast cancer. We have developed an AI-driven pipeline to automatically score these immune cells – reducing the burden for overworked clinicians and providing more granular scoring options. We have validated that we generate scores that are highly concordant with manual pathologist scoring and that we can accurately predict treatment outcomes for two independent triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) patient cohorts.

Q-STACK | Q-STACK is a new hardware approach that helps connect and control quantum computers that operate at extremely cold temperatures. Instead of using many bulky cables between room-temperature electronics and the cold quantum chip, it uses smarter ways to send signals so the system stays colder and easier to scale. The goal is to make it easier to build larger, more powerful quantum computers in the future.

RAD-AI | Conventional handheld radiation tools provide a single reading of dose or dose rate, but to make decisions in a radiological response scenario, it often requires that the operator understands the implications of the measurements. RAD-AI is a radiation detector that contains a large language model that operates entirely on the device and provides guidance, for example, “limit exposure time,” “add lead shielding,” or “evacuate area.” This system is designed for first responders and radiation safety officers who operate in environments where internet connectivity is unavailable or unreliable.

ReNamel | We have developed the world’s first method to grow enamel-producing cells (ameloblasts) from human stem cells in the lab. These lab-grown cells form small 3D structures called organoids that secrete the same proteins that make natural tooth enamel and produce calcified material when placed in living tissue. Our goal is to create “living fillings” — biological implants placed in damaged teeth that regenerate real enamel and then naturally dissolve, replacing the cycle of artificial fillings that degrade and need replacement throughout a patient’s lifetime.

SphingoBoost | We found that individuals with a certain microbiome have more robust and improved immune response to an oral vaccine. We identified the bacteria and it’s metabolite and found that it could improve immune responses to a vaccine proxy. Our innovation will improve upon the currently used and globally stocked vaccines, therefore increasing vaccine efficacy and reducing disease.

Spotify for academics | We propose to create a new marketplace to disrupt the existing academic publication space, where the core contributors including authors and reviewers are not compensated and big publishing houses such as Elsevier take all the profit. The new marketplace will create a mechanism that will more fairly distribute the revenue. This will significantly expand the number of countries, institutions and people who can access the vast literature that is now currently behind paywall.
