In late August, CoMotion Labs @ Spokane member, Golden Sherpa, officially launched their new platform to help users find long term-care for their loved ones. Golden Sherpa enables quick searches based on criteria such as location, care level, living community type, room type, price, and more.
This Spokane-based startup introduced themselves to over 50 attendees at local coworking space, Startup Spokane, demonstrating their “Airbnb for eldercare” platform and offering a preview of their future plans.
Founder and CEO Margie Bensching (pictured here) followed up after the event: “I want to thank everybody for their support and encouragement as we present Golden Sherpa, a curated senior living platform. We make it easy to reduce the stress and frustration many consumers accept when considering senior living options. Golden Sherpa provides information hassle-free, with no phone calls or mass emails. I am excited to test, break, and improve Golden Sherpa in the Spokane market as we prepare to scale across the country.”
Golden Sherpa received funding from local Spokane fund Mind to Market, which works with pre-seed and proof-of-concept-stage companies in the Inland Northwest, and Bensching herself graduated from Spokane’s Ignite Northwest, a 13-week technology startup accelerator. The company is currently expanding its network of providers and plans to raise a seed round in the coming months. Way to go!
