Coronary artery disease remains the leading cause of death worldwide, affecting millions of people and placing a tremendous burden on patients, families, and healthcare providers. I’ve witnessed the immense complexity and emotional strain these cases place on cardiologists, who often navigate unpredictable and challenging procedures under high-pressure conditions.

At Nimble Surgical, we believe it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re committed to developing innovative tools that empower interventionalists to perform procedures with greater confidence, consistency, and efficiency. By making complex interventions simpler and more predictable, we aim to alleviate the stress of high-risk cases and enable physicians to focus on what truly matters – delivering life-saving care.

Catheters are the cornerstone of any vascular procedure and are often the only option for older patients. During percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) treatment, lack of stable coronary access leads to high patient complications (13.2%), resulting in up to $13K in added treatment costs and elongated procedures that strain operating room resources.

The founding team has invented FlexLock Guide Catheter, a patent-pending catheter architecture enabling highly articulating devices that are impossible with existing catheter technology. FlexLock simplifies coronary access in PCI procedures by allowing the physician to expand and anchor the catheter tip near the target location without compromising blood flow, enabling stable and secure access, which can lower the risk of aortic wall damage and patient costs, reduce operational uncertainty, and increase procedural efficiency.

As a startup, we’re bringing these innovations from the lab to the bedside, determined to redefine what’s possible in cardiovascular care. We are driven by a vision where technology removes uncertainty from procedures, giving patients and their families hope and giving clinicians the tools they need to deliver exceptional care.
