Global Innovation Fellows

Seattle is a center for global health, and UW plays a key role in the richness of business and global health expertise here. In partnership with the UW Department of Global Health and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Global Innovation Fellows are a select group of MBAs and TECs who will research business problems/technologies in global health alongside graduate students in Global Health and Development.

There are three openings for 2015-16. This will be an academic year commitment, and fellows will work 20 hours/week on six to eight projects a year. Fellows will receive tuition waivers each quarter. If you’re already receiving tuition waivers (TA, RA, GSAs, etc.), please check with the MBA Program office to determine your eligibility. Evening MBAs are welcome to apply, but candidates must have some flexibility in their schedules for on-campus and off-campus meetings during the day. TECs who have completed at least six credits of entrepreneurship curriculum are eligible, and should review their tuition status with their home departments.

Ideal candidates will have a fundamental interest in the business problems/technology innovations associated with global health and development, an affinity for working with global health and development experts and researchers, and a desire to be part of an interdisciplinary team of creative, dedicated individuals.
