AIVS Inc is an IoT sensor company focused on 3D sound sensing technology using MEMS technology. The key contribution is to provide directional acoustic measurements from a very small volume compared to microphone arrays. Using a MEMS accelerometer to measure the motion of air in response to sound waves, bearing angles are computed to one or more acoustic sources. Adding source direction enhances applications in autonomous noise monitoring, augmented reality, video surveillance coupled with 3D sound sensing, drone and robot audition, and with further reductions in size, improved hearing aids.
