Finding the right trajectory for your startup

David Shoultz, co-founder and COO, Monod Bio, Inc., translation advisor, Institute for Protein Design UW (IPD) talks about that first year of your startup post-launch, which is one of the most anxiety-inducing times for startups, especially for researchers on the cutting edge of drug development. Within a year of co-founding Monod Bio, an IPD spinoff powered by CoMotion Labs membership and Pack Ventures funding, CoMotion Labs alumnus David Shoultz and his team raised a $25M seed round and hired 20 employees. David shares insights about taking off from the bench, through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and PATH, and ascending to commercialization and back to teaching and advising at UW and Seattle University.
