Dempsey Startup Competition
April 5 – Deadline to apply

The Dempsey Startup Competition is the University of Washington’s annual business plan competition. Each year, nearly 90+ teams from around the region submit their ventures to be reviewed by hundreds of judges from Seattle’s entrepreneurial community.   • LSWI WIN Program
    April 7th – Applications are due!
    To date, WIN Graduates have raised $864M dollars. This milestone-base program matches you with a team of 3-5 seasoned mentors and advisors to help guide your company through critical stages! To apply, companies should participate in a Startup Consult meeting to learn more about the program and determine if the WIN Program is a good fit.   • Life Science Funding
    NIH Matchmaker can be used to conduct keyword searches of a particular topic area to help you identify Institutes or Centers that have previously funded research in that area. Search the 2020 Program Descriptions and Research Topics to identify priority research areas. View targeted SBIR/STTR funding announcements focused on specific research areas.


Fundamentals for Startups

Anyone interested in startup creation is encouraged to attend our Fundamentals for Startups lecture series currently via Zoom or YouTube live stream. It occurs every Friday over lunch during the school year, and features experienced entrepreneurs, investors and industry experts that help close the gap in startup knowledge. It is open to the general public.
